Although this was an open box item, the condition is very good. I researched it carefully and know that it's well made of quite natural materials. The mattress was well packaged and expanded quickly after unwrapping. There wasnt any strong smell, so I was happy to start using it the same day. After sleeping on it for a few weeks, Im even happier with it than I was at first. The medium firmness gives excellent support, and even the edges feel stable without much sinkage. One unexpected bonus is that the height matches my babys cot perfectly, which makes night-time feeds and lifting my baby in and out much easier. Very good mattress, solid and durable. You need to get used to it and give it time to break in because at first might seem like it’s very hard and flat but after that it’s super comfy. This mattress is absolutely awful. Thin layer of memory foam on the top and what feels like a layer of ply wood. The springs are visible through the side of the wall of the mattress and there is so much movement if one of you moves whilst the other is laid still.
