Agree with previous review with the lower guard rail being poorly secured. Bed was a bit of a challenge to build with poor instructions and yes a million screws. This is a great, well-made, aesthetically pleasing bed. The space on the bottom bed is big enough for my youngest to comfortably move around without banging her head above. The drawers provide so much essential toy storage plus it was relatively easy to assemble too. The size of the beds also means that teddy’s now have a permanent home on the bed without making it seem small. 2 friends have already purchased the same bed after seeing ours being very impressed by it. Bed is made of solid birch wood which makes it much more durable compared with softer wood types, pine for example. Side rails can be installed on both, left and right sides. Slatted base is included. Excellent choice for school-age children.

Looks good in room, great size for small room and mattresses good quality but we had lots of imperfections in parts which was disappointing but thankfully mostly hidden now assembled, lack of paint in parts , splits in wood, poor joint finish. We reported faults to Wayfair so they can take up these issues with the supplier as we love the company and use them regularly and do not want it to reflect on their excellent reputation, can’t fault them, their customer service is excellent.. Unfortunately this bed came with missing railing and damaged bed ends. The bed itself looks nice after fixing and reinforcing, but due to pine construction is subject to splitting. I thought buying this reasonable priced bed I could expect quality but it had bolts missing, some of the holes hadn’t been drilled so I had to drill myself. The lower guard has completely the wrong fixings so I had to attach with screws, the top guard was way to short so I had to screw timer to it to make it higher so my son can’t roll out, the slats are very thin and some were cracked again with screws missing and holes not drilled, instructions were absolutely useless with no order of assembly and with all the missing parts it took half a day to put together. Lovely bunk beds - very sturdy and secure. Good value with quality mattresses included in the overall price. The assembly was the hardest part - it would be helpful if the instructions were more detailed. Our girls love them and they have created lots more floor space in their room - great for playing.
