While the space we have it in is not wide, I do wish the tree was a smudge large at the bottom. That said. I did search for a wider tree, but couldn’t find the perfect width. We purchased this tree for our dinning room and love it, however I wish I would have gone with the 7' tree instead. While the dimensions state it is 6.5' you should know that only the very top ONE tip of the branch reaches this high. It is far closer to more of 5.8' tree. My husband built a wooden box to place the stand on and with a tree skirt wrapped around it, the tree still looks great. It does have some shimmer to the needles, which really makes it pop. Some reviews are negative due to the extra strand of lights but while it would have been nice to have them all prelit, the tree is still beautiful without having to add the extra string of lights.
