These Chinese display shelves come in two parts that easily fit together with mortise and tenon joints, so they can be used as two separate semi-circular units or as a single large circular shelf. Great for books or for ornaments, they also double as room dividers.

Few original bookshelves from the Ming period exist today, but as with other Chinese furniture of the time, they tended to be simple in design and perfectly constructed. The bookshelf is an excellent example - its pure, clean style allowing it to fit in anywhere and with two very useful drawers. It's perfect for books or uses as an elegant stage to display ornaments and plants.

fantastic bookcase, in good condition upon arrival, carriage couriers need to be educated to be more careful with these items, the cardboard protection was mashed, having carried out a full inspection, there was no damage evident, from notification of arrival, it arrived on time..
