Treat your guests, the Buxton bed has a beautifully crafted framework that conceals a trundle bed for extra sleeping space. The pull-out trundle features castors for ease of use and can be used in either the flat or upright position. Sprung slatted bases give natural bounce, adjusting to where most pressure is exerted and providing greater comfort. The maximum mattress height to be used for this frame and trundle is 160 mm. The maximum load baring for the Buxton bed is 120kg. Please note: Birlea beds are only suitable for a UK standard size mattress.

These mattresses (I got 2) are perfect for my new day bed. The one on the trundle is a little bit too big now that it’s been out of the packaging for a couple of days but still works, I just have to squeeze it down a bit to pull it out but I’d rather my guests have a comfier sleep than go for a thinner mattress.. Perfect spare bed for guests. Like the combination headboard/footboard which keeps the mattress in place. Also, like that there is no middle rail which makes other brand's foldable beds very uncomfortable - particularly looked for that there is no middle cross rail under the mattress. When folded the bed fits perfectly under normal beds. I will look for suitable protective bags to keep the bed free from dust when stored.. Anonymous. Sat May 02 2026

Overall, it’s a nice looking bed but feel the quality could be better, and it took a while to put together. This is a job for two people - one person to pull the two parts together, and the other person to align the part, and to then screw the bolts in. The bolts weren’t very good either in going in, and were very fiddly.. Anonymous. Fri Sep 25 2026

Be aware! The actual item is different to the images and description on the website!!! Images show a nice side panel - in reality it has exposed holes that were called "intentional" after I reported an issue. The back of the headboard is not covered and have cables exposed. Later I was told that the bed should only sit flush against the wall - NOT AS SHOWN on the website! I only discovered all this after I paid £90 for its assembly!. Elena. Lockerbie, GB. I would give 4* only because the information regarding mattress is not accurate. The top mattress might be fine with 20cm even 22cm thick but the bottom one absolutely not. Appalling quality. Countless splits in the wood. No edges have been sanded so lots of splinters while assembling. Took me (a qualified carpenter) over 4 hours to get together. Also to top it off there were some screw holes missing and some that don't line up. Also pretty much all of the joints don't tighten up nicely. I would return this but have invested so much time in getting it together. Would have put a 0 out of 5 if it were possible. Alan Captain. Dereham, GB. Sat Aug 10 2024
