The sofa bed actually exceeded our expectations. Since it was budget-friendly, we were worried it might be a bit flimsy, but it’s actually very sturdy and decent. Most importantly, it’s incredibly comfortable for watching films. When unfolded, it feels absolutely divine, even for someone of my height (193 cm). We haven't tried sleeping on it yet, though.. Whilst there are cup holders in the drop down arm/middle section, you can’t fit a standard size mug to sit in as the handle of the mug is the same level as the side of the cup holder! You can fit a glass in though, so all’s not lost! The arms are detached & are just placed in position at each end of the sofa, so fall off onto rte floor when you move about in the sofa.
