I seen several others using this chair for dining. So that's exactly what we did. Bought 2 of the red. Took about a week delivery from Mississippi to Seattle. Box's were a little tired but chairs were fine. The quality and engineering excellent. Very comfortable sitting. I put them together myself & have a hint for you. Test each screw before assembly. This is nice solid chair with a great MCM look. It is very comfortable and I can sit in it for long stretches working with great back support. The faux leather is soft and looks real. The color is more taupe than grey. The only negative is that the base is a hard plastic sprayed to look like wood and it chips pretty easy exposing the white plastic underneath if you hit the desk when you swivel the chair. I really like this chair! It has a firm back and is comfortable to sit in. I like also how you can adjust the legs so that the chair doesn't wobble. It has a smaller profile than a typical office chair, so I can slide it under the desk when I'm not using it. The directions were straightforward, and it was easy to assemble - it took me about 10 minutes by myself only because you have to be careful not to screw the seat in all the way to make sure the four screws that hold the seat in place line up with the holes (and then tighten everything up at the end).
