Hand-carved mango tree wood wardrobe with 3 shelves

I had been looking for a linen cupboard for ages & loved the look of this one. Thought long & hard before ordering as it is very expensive - it was the only one I’d seen I liked so went for it. It looks absolutely stunning - so pleased I went ahead with purchase. Only 2 negatives - 1 the price & 2 there was such a foul smell with it - took weeks for this smell to disappear so was a while before I could put anything in it. Don’t know if it was the paint or chemicals used to distress it (smelt like vomit). If I has been this in a shop before purchase would I have still bought it?
