Can be built either left or right handed but watch out - you must build the side part the right way round before you attach it to the main desk! Both USB ports are the rectangular "A" type. A nice touch not mentioned in the instructions is the feet can be adjusted. Arrived next day in perfect condition, no scratches or damage. DHL driver brought it up one flight of stairs.
