The chairs themselves are excellent. They were straightforward to assemble, feel sturdy, look exactly as pictured, and are very comfortable. I was pleased enough with them that I had planned to order another two. Unfortunately, one of the chairs did not appear to be brand new. It had dirty marks on two corners and there were signs that it had previously been assembled, with slight damage around some of the bolt holes where the washers had been tightened. The marks cleaned off easily, so I decided to keep it and assembled both chairs. Overall, I'm very happy with the quality, design and comfort. wird von allen bewundert, passt genau zum Stil des vorhandenen Mobiliars, leider nur ein kleines Manko: ein Stuhlbein ist eine Spur kürzer, dieses kleie Ungleichgewicht wirkt sich so aus, dass beim Abstützen auf die Armlehne deren Holz in der Verankerung an der Rückenlehne nicht stabil ist und sich etwas löst. The Chinese developed folding furniture very early on, with folding stools being recorded from the Han dynasty almost two thousand years ago. The folding armchair was particularly common during the Ming dynasty and was made either for traveling or for easy storage. Our version is a very accurate reproduction of antique Chinese chairs from that time and is carved entirely by hand. The main carving on the backrest depicts a Kylin (a Chinese unicorn), while above is a coiled dragon inside a 'ruyi' shaped medallion - a symbol of prosperity. The seat is woven, while the chair is fitted with decorative mounts. The carved footrest also includes decoration. Made of reclaimed elm, this large chair is beautifully created and will add a wow factor to any room.
