After searching for months for a black bookcase to fit into this space with no luck apart from expensive custom options, I came across this bookcase on Wayfair. Attaching 4 of them together filled the space perfectly and I’m very happy! Bookcases aren’t perfect and some light scuffs here and there but for the cost, I’m more than happy. After a few touch ups they won’t be noticeable at all. Now for the best bit, filling it with books! Thank you. Bobbi. Tue Jul 16 2024

This shelf is beautiful and relatively easy to put together but beware!! if you buy the 8-shelf options it doesn’t fit hardcover books. So. Frustrating. To sit there building for a few hours only to find out your books can’t stand upright… ugh! Some paperbacks were fine but hardcovers have to shelve horizontally. Maybe the 6-shelf option would have been better but I didn’t want to go through the hassle of returning. Overall a nice focal piece in my living room.. Emma. Greenwich, CT. Fri Jan 02 2026

Really impressed with this, it looks great and all our guests have commented on it. My husband put it up and I can’t recall him moaning about it too much so I think it was a relative straightforward assembly process!. Natalie. Chelmsford, GB. Sat Jan 31 2026

The ladder shelf with dark oak and black frame divider is simple and elegant, bringing a unique design style to your home. This shelf is suitable for the living room and study as a bookshelf or as a bathroom shelf, display shelf. On this industrial shelf, you can place books, plants, everyday items, keepsakes or other items. Each divider can hold 10 kg.

Six equally spaced 15mm shelves, sturdy when assembled and unlikely to sag given the 56 cm width. Packaging was generally good, but por separation of metal and wood caused some shelf bracket distortion and one deep scratch mark (easily corrected by diyers). The open aspect of the shelves makes them less obtrusive and the flexible and adjustable design allows them to cater for less than perfect floors and walls. The bottom shelf height and central foot support allows cleaning underneath and overcomes typical enclosed shelf-unit problems with high skirting boards and use of low-down power sockets.. Anonymous. This vertically oriented bookcase brings the charm of the library to your space. Abundant shelving encased by two doors, providing ample storage for all your needs. This product is perfect for home or work. Crafted in Brazil.

Extremely disappointed. I've had items from Wayfair before. They were good quality. This looks and feels cheap, nasty, similar to balsa wood. Some of the dowel holes do not align. There are no prefilled holes for joining the units together, even though it was sold as a unit. There are gaps in places. Spots of the fake wood effect paint are missing, showing pale wood beneath. The permanently fixed shelves are pre drilled but not painted the same as the rest of the cabinet. Do not touch with a barge pole.. Jayne. Bude, GB. Thu Aug 07 2025

Proud and elegant, this modern, spacious bookcase will look great in any room. This shelf has been equipped for all external influences. This elegant, generously sized bookcase in a trendy hue stands out with an excitingly different look. This is to the memory arrangement of the shelves. With a total of five shelves, there is plenty of space for books and other items. The partitions are alternately attached to the left or right. This gives the beautiful, modern shelf a harmonious look that is absolutely stunning. The two drawers on top of each other on the second level are an additional highlight. Small treasures can be kept there, protected against dust. The handle-less look of the two drawers ensures a particularly harmonious silhouette.

Really like the bookcase. A bit pricey, but it's well constructed and came readily assembled which was handy. It's a bit more grey than in the pics but fits in well with my new flat.. Xavier. London, GB. Mon Feb 03 2020

From the images, I actually thought that this would be much chunkier than the actual product. The wooden lips make it appear as is solid wood, however, it is thin wood. It therefore does the job but does not fully satisfy what I was expecting and looking for m. Sharon. Monifieth Dundee, GB. Sun Jan 26 2020

I was looking for a very large bookcase for my newly renovated home office and this looked lovely. I was disappointed that wayfair only told me after I ordered and paid in full that it was out of stock and was in “backorder”. Took almost 3 months to arrive! It is not easy to out together. Parts look very similar and none are labelled! So far we have spent 3 hours assembling just 1/3rd of it and we are fairly experienced with DIY. Hopefully will look as good as the pictire by the time it is ready.. Anonymous. Tue May 21 2024
