My first impressions are excellent! I'm sitting in this chair as I type this review, and I'm very comfortable. As someone who is plus size (100kg), I needed a chair that could accommodate my weight and size, and this one suits my needs. I really wanted a chair that was quite plush and well padded, so I was a little dubious at first, since there weren't any reviews to help me, but I can confirm that the chair is just as padded as the pictures suggest. Time will tell how well the cushioning lasts, but for now I'm very happy with it. The assembly was pretty straightforward, though it definitely helps if you have another person to help you out for some of it, because it's quite a heavy chair overall. The product description did mention height adjustable armrests, but I don't see how that's possible as the arm rests are fixed to the base of the chair, and there are no instructions or indications on how to raise the height of the armrests, so perhaps this was an oversight on the product listing? I'm not sure. The footrest is a really nice addition, and was one of the selling points for me. I often sit with one leg crossed and tucked under the other, which is not ideal, so I'm hoping that this will encourage better posture since I do spend a lot of time at my desk. The chair feels very solid and was easy to assemble. The instructions were clear and I appreciated the labelling for the pieces. Delivery was quick, although there was some damage to the box itself the chair was fine inside. Having assembled and tested the chair I can say it is quite nice on initial use. Comfortable, easy to build, and moves very easily in the carpeted office. The headrest does have a tendency to slip down when it's not in continuous use, but that's hardly a major issue. This is a solid feeling drafting chair for those looking for something comfortable with arm rests that are adjustable. Easy assembly and seems sturdy. My only complaint is it arrived broken and there was a crack in the back of the chair which was only aesthetic and didn’t effect the chair that much. Good lumbar support, very comfortable and the arms moving on both the x and y axis is a great feature. Nearly all I’ve tried will rotate or move forward and back but never in and out. The chair is comfortable enough. However I have to make comments on the welding quality of the metal parts. There appears to be a good deal of spattering not cleaned up from the welds on the arm rests. These are chrome plated over, and what remains could catch on clothing: can't remove the burrs as this will remove the chrome plating. Burrs on the screws under the arm rests need cleaning up. With regard to the arm rests, the welding of the main metal part to the mounting tubes at either end caused some fitting problems. The weld on one arm end had spilled over to the inside of the tube, and it was impossible to mount the arm rest. This was solved with taking the previously attached arm rest and swapping them over. What I love about this Mesh Executive Chair is that lumbar support, that curve in the back hits my lower back and I feel so much relief. The chair can, like it says in the information get tall which I imagine would be great for a drafting table but our daughter loves to just ride up and down on it ) the mesh and black make it easy to clean..
