For the price I’m very happy. Good finish and looks good in-situ and also smells very nice! 2 person assembly better but easy enough to assemble on your own although beware it is heavy in the box. Reason for 4 stars not 5 is due to the drawers as they are main from very soft wood and don’t feel that solid and because some of the pre-drilled holes didn’t align with pieces exactly. When it arrived we thought, surely theyve missed out a package it was so cleverly packed. Canny Danes! Building it requires separating out the bits and pieces, including putting screws etc into pots to make it easier to find everything. There are a lot of components but the instructions are quite easy to follow, if some illustrations a little small. Tips - ensure you do not overtighten the long black bolts as the aluminium locking nuts need to be able to dock and fully rotate. Also, ensure only one dowel inserted per drawer edge. Nice sturdy piece of furniture. Looks good. Only minor hiccups were the decorative panels around the bottom were warped slightly so screwing them in was tricky and the screws broke inside the wood. Black Lacquer

Although Chinese cabinets would sometimes contain small drawers on the inside, the Chinese did not use chests of drawers for storing clothes as we do today. Our oriental style chest of drawers is therefore not strictly a Ming design, but we like to think that it is in keeping with the ethos of that time. The simple design, including an apron stretching across the bottom that is typically seen on Ming period furniture, gives it a contemporary look that still has more than a hint of Chinese style.
