The bed is nice and sturdy. To turn on the lights simply lift the lamp. The only downside is that when you close the bedside table it doesn’t go down all the way because it’s too close to the bed. Gorgeous looking bed - really plush! Admittedly, it didn't take 2 people 1.5 hrs as per the instructions, it took 3 people 3 hrs. This was mainly due to us being unclear on putting the frame together and doing it wrong initially.
