No problem with assembly. They can easily be finished further with paint, varathane wood paint-stain, etc., if you want to design them into their new environment. Only warning, they are made from very light "tropical pine?" wood that is very easy to bruise (dent). I've just finished putting the bookshelf together and it was pretty easy. Instructions helped, but aren't exactly detailed. Good solid wooden bookcases. Comes half assembled in two halves. Easy to assemble but needs more than one person . I got a professional carpenter to assemble it. However you the site offers assembly for a very reasonable fee at the time of purchase. The only downside, is the wood is unfinished . So had to buy wood oil and pay the same carpenter to finish the wood.. Dr Uchenna. London. Sat Sep 12 2026
