Yes a lot of assembly, the table was difficult as nothing lined up!! I've been building furniture for the past 38yrs. So am able to find a way around things, but in all honesty, the majority of the public will struggle. It was difficult bending the metal into position, will it last? Heaven knows. But advert should state difficulty is assembling for those who are not quite capable in putting furniture together & there are many out there. Do like it though. It’s not the colour in the photo, more of a brown. It took hours to assemble due to the holes not lining up for the base of the chairs due to the wicker. I had to undo the arms I had already connected to create space and I’ve still had to miss the odd attachment because they won’t line up.
