Great bench perfect for any size garden. Storage part is not waterproof, but is a handy storage area. I have kept a waterproof bag in mine so that I can keep blankets etc in. With its shaped facia, overlap timber roof and attractive trellis detail, the Arum Arbour looks lovely in any garden or patio. A beautiful feature to place in a special spot to sit and take a moment, an arbour would make a very welcome gift! It is manufactured from high grade, slow grown, FSC approved, northern European pine which has been pressure treated to protect it from rot and insect attack for many years. This can still be painted should you wish to personalise your new arbour. (Imperial dimensions are approximate to the nearest foot; please refer to the exact metric dimensions in the data given). Supplied pressure treated for long life, painted model shown is for illustration only.

I bought this arbour to replace my old one, which had rotted due to the difficulty of repainting all the fiddly bits. This one looks really good and was very easy to paint I altered the layout when assembling so that the side panels had the smooth sides facing out so that the rain would run off easier instead of sitting on the little ledges, and it was easier to paint. The only downside with the quality was that there were a few places where the nails had come through or missed the struts when the arbour was made at the factory and one or two splinters, and bad nail gunning. I painted all the parts prior to assembling (and after) which made it easier to get into all the little splinters and rough bits, and also there could have been a few edging strips to hide and protect the edges where back and front panels met, and the diamond at the back could have done with a decorative strip to hide the nails. HOWEVER Overall for the money it is good value. I am making a couple of ledges for the side windows to hold a cup and it will also hide/protect the edges of the panels.. Vivienne.
