This arrived before expected which was great! This one is 1.6m high and does exactly what it should. Keeps the wind out from an exposed wind area in our back garden. We face onto a field and the wind can sometimes ruin sunny days on the decking. Strong and sturdy, high quality product, I was concerned it may flap a lot on a breezier day but it doesn’t. Well worth spending the money for a more expensive one - this has changed our windy sunny days into a more tranquil sun trap! Only thing missing is a rain cover for when it’s retracted. This could be so much better with some additional improvements. First of all, the two end fabric poles would not attach as the connector piece does not allow for the rivets on the handles. This essentially stops you proceeding, unless you are willing to 'adapt'. Secondly, the tension on one of the main retractable poles was insufficient. So that resulted in disassembly and retensioning. Thirdly, the base plate fixings are not fit for purpose. Not only is there no information on the sizing, but they do not work well with the holes in the baseplate. I would suggest to buy through bolts from a local DIY shop. I would also ignore the piece in the instructions where you fix the baseplate to the assembly first and then drill holes. Instead, use the plate as a template, then drill, then fix with your (new and safer) fixings. Happy with the overall quality, but a few things have let this product down.. Anonymous. Sun Jul 09 2023
