It is advised to use standard caring oil for solid wood in order to keep the original colour as long as possible. Otherwise, the furniture may take on a grey tone over time, which is preferred by some people. For extra comfort, the chairs' backrests can be adjusted to eight different positions and can be folded when not in use so they do not take up too much storage space. I ordered these chairs as they appeared to be more substantial than others available and this was reflected in the extra cost. Regretfully due to poor packaging one arrived with substantial crack damage to one arm probably due to a combination of this poor packaging and courier mishandling. The carrier (Yodel) had actually put some of their packing tape on ther carton. I noticed on an earlier review that a customer had received the similar set with damage. I tried to report the damage to Yodel and found this to be a nightmare due to there being no clear way of identifying which number they required to identify the package. Every number I imputed was rejected. I am hoping that the matter will be resolved quickly and without any further hassle by Wayfair. 3 stars only due to these problems.. David. Liversedge, GB.
