Nice greenhouse but got so far and had to ask a friend, who’s an engineer, to help as instructions just pictures and not clear. Built a base with black grids and pea gravel. Hammered ballast stakes into ground and drilled holes in frame. Secured with metal angles pieces. My only disappointment is the window does work on 5 angled options, there is nothing for the holes in the latch to sit on to support the open window. I do not recommend this greenhouse at all. It has a million parts and screws, and after the first difficult assembly, a light wind completely destroyed it. I absolutely do not recommend this product.. Anonymous. Sun Apr 05 2026

It is deep and wide enough to hold a large amount of soil and provide ample space for your plants, vegetables, herbs and flowers. Thanks to its simple square design, it will make a stylish addition to any balcony, deck or patio. The rim of the planter base has an edge fold design so no dangerous sharp edges are exposed. The bottomless design provides good drainage for plants and prevents water buildup that causes the roots of plants to rot. It also allows plants to better absorb nutrients. You can place it on soil, grass, or concrete floors. Assembly is easy. Please note the roof of our greenhouse cannot withstand heavy snowfall.

The Holkham is a classic greenhouse available in a range of sizes to suit everyone; the painted finish really makes this a stunning feature. A wooden greenhouse has many advantages for gardeners and will also provide you with a relaxing environment to potter in. Featuring Shire's quality joinery, 34 x 58 mm framing and completed with an attractive finial and cresting to the roof, the Holkham is both practical as well as charming. The low wooden panels also add a very traditional detail to this lovely building. The greenhouse is glazed with toughened glass and has a single door with traditional gate latch handle. Roof windows have an automatic Bayliss opener supplied. The number of opening roof windows per model is, one in the 4 x 6, two in a 6 x 8, three in a 6 x 12 and four in a 6 x 16. As usual with a greenhouse, no floor is supplied and the greenhouse sits on a pressure treated base rail. The paint option is a 4-step, fully ‘factory applied’ paint process for exterior joinery including Pre-Treatment, a First Coat, a Mid-Coat and a final Topcoat, all of which are spray applied. No shelving or benching included. Assembly instructions included.

Quality of the wood is poor. No predrilled screw holes, which makes it hard to put together as most need to be in on an angle. The build instructions aren’t the best either. It also has two 2-story windows. The inner mesh layer ensures good air circulation. If you open the 2 windows, roll them up completely and fasten them with straps, you will have easy access to the plants, making watering much easier. The raised bed is made of 0.07cm thick galvanized metal with better robustness and rust resistance.
