Nice greenhouse but got so far and had to ask a friend, who’s an engineer, to help as instructions just pictures and not clear. Built a base with black grids and pea gravel. Hammered ballast stakes into ground and drilled holes in frame. Secured with metal angles pieces. My only disappointment is the window does work on 5 angled options, there is nothing for the holes in the latch to sit on to support the open window. Happy with my purchase, when initially setting up the frame it seemed a little flimsy but once the cover was on it is actually quite secure. The Holkham is a classic greenhouse available in a range of sizes to suit everyone; the painted finish really makes this a stunning feature. The low wooden panels also add a very traditional detail to this lovely building. The greenhouse is glazed with toughened glass and has a single door with traditional gate latch handle. Roof windows have an automatic Bayliss opener supplied. The number of opening roof windows per model is, one in the 4 x 6, two in a 6 x 8, three in a 6 x 12 and four in a 6 x 16. As usual with a greenhouse, no floor is supplied and the greenhouse sits on a pressure treated base rail. The paint option is a 4-step, fully ‘factory applied’ paint process for exterior joinery including Pre-Treatment, a First Coat, a Mid-Coat and a final Topcoat, all of which are spray applied. No shelving or benching included. Assembly instructions included.

Quality of the wood is poor. No predrilled screw holes, which makes it hard to put together as most need to be in on an angle. The build instructions aren’t the best either. A nicely produced hardwood kit which took me one hour to build inside the lounge for ease of comfort. I studied the instructions, read them twice, overnight, and went to build with no problems. The allen key with its hard edges can make your fingers and hand a bit sore- but no gain without pain! I am very pleased with the greenhouse and it seems a shame to put it outside!
