This pergola was an experience to assemble. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. Also the unit is 10x10, BUT ONLY AT THE TOP. The base measurement from the center of each support to the next is only 97.83", not 10x12' or 120". In my case it worked out, but if you have to fit it over an area consider getting a 12x12, which would have worked fine for me. I also checked the interior dimensions in the description on Wayfair, and they were only of the top not the bottom. I believe that information should be changed. The unit itself, once assembled is beautiful, but you do need two people for assembly, especially if you can't drill into the concrete. The legs must be stable to attach the top units to them!! We did that job by laying them on the lawn, then putting them in concrete blocks, as you can see by the photo. Trying to do it while up is folly, unless you have four people holding up the cross bars while you screw in the bolts!! On YT it shows a guy assembling on the ground, smart! All in all this unit is good for the price, but measure and level, that's the trick. Good Luck and stay safe.. Cia. California. Sun Jun 25 2023

Turned out nice. Had this professionally installed and mounted the post in concrete blocks to give more stability. The metal pieces itself is lightweight aluminum but when connected together it’s sturdy. Only gripe are the shade connector poles. Their means of connecting could be improved because they slide off & disconnect from one another every now & then but so far holds up well with rain when shade is pulled back. Haven’t experienced any serious windy conditions yet to speak on so we’ll see. So far overall all good.. Bryant. Miami, FL. Thu Jun 01 2023

Very disappointed with the product even though it's very sturdy the canopy isn't fit for purpose after various months i only erected it in November the canopy poles keep falling out off the canopy top I have checked it was put together properly ,leaving me with no top the weather has not been that bad and I feel that it's actually dangerous. A brilliant addition to the garden — really impressed ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We've been looking for something to define our seating area in the garden without taking over the whole space, and this pergola is absolutely perfect. The 3m x 3m footprint is generous enough to feel like a proper outdoor room, but the 2.27m height keeps it proportionate rather than imposing — it really does make smart use of the space. Assembly was straightforward with two people. The instructions are clear and all the fixings were accounted for — we had it up without any drama in a couple of hours. Having a second pair of hands definitely helps when aligning the frame, but nothing about the process was difficult. The aluminium build feels genuinely solid and well-finished. It doesn't have any of the wobble you sometimes get with cheaper garden structures, and the powder-coated finish looks smart and clean. We're very happy with how it looks — it's given the whole area a much more pulled-together feel. For the price, this is exceptional value. You'd expect to pay considerably more for this level of quality and appearance. Highly recommended.. Claire. Gravesend, GB. Wed Mar 18 2026

Canopy has only been setup for about two weeks at this point… needed extra hands to hold parts up during construction but family is always game. Box was a bit beat up in shipping, actually ended up missing several parts but customer service was super awesome and walked me through what I needed. We were only delayed a week to be made whole again. Great job Wayfair. I do recommend if you are going to ship such heavy items with so many parts, maybe more sturdy cardboard or perhaps ship multiple smaller boxes to prevent the order arriving like a wrapped mummy. Still, thank you customer service and love the shade!. Candice. Lititz, PA. Tue May 30 2023

Overall it’s great, but I would suggest that when you come to put the canopy on, DON’T just go over the top and attach it, we did that, slightest breeze it would be up and away, if you go over the main bar as instructed, then under the second bar, then over the middle bar, then under the third bar, ending by going I’ve the main bar, it really reduces the lift, also the bars that come into contact with the canvas make sure the screw heads are on the under or over side to stop wear n tear! It sounds complicated and long winded, but it’s really not and does make a difference! Apart from that it’s a great pergola!. Jules. Norfolk. Tue May 13 2025

We have been using this for 2 years now. So this is a long term review. Assembly wasn't too difficult and my wife and I were able to do it without more help. Overall the quality is good and the paint has oxidized somewhat and there are some small rust spots but overall great. The shade is also good quality and very heavy duty. We're in Florida so I have to clean and pressure wash it every 6 months or so but it comes up pretty nice. We really like the ability to move the shade and the fixed louvers add separation from the rest of the backyard. Recommended.. T.j.. Tallahassee, FL. Sun Dec 15 2024

We ordered naturalwhite canopy and delivered incorrect product. The “natural” wood color is very orange. Picture is all incorrect as the pieces received were also not black as shown in the image but a beige color (yes, beige again!) customer service very slow to respond to concerns so I would not recommend giving this company your money.. I love this pergola. It looks beautiful and fits our small patio perfectly. We live in WA in an area without much wind. We put each leg in a resin planter filled with 50lbs of rocks. We did have an unexpected storm a week after it was built with 30mph winds and there was zero movement. Impressive! We will take the cover off in the fall to preserve it since the small cover is not very tight and rain does pool but it isn’t that difficult to knock the rain off with a broom handle. The assembly was easy for my partner and I. It took about 3 hours from start to finish. The directions were easy to follow. I am so glad I chose this pergola out of the thousands available. Very economical and the faux wood grain looks lovely!. Jessie. Yelm, WA. Sat May 20 2023

It has only been up for a month, so I cannot speak to how long it will hold up, but nicer and larger shaded area than an umbrella would provide.. Sarah. Westerville, OH. Thu May 25 2023
