This black steel planter has been a nightmare. The 'instructions' are not at all clear or detailed on which piece is which, OR how they are different OR how they fit together - WHAT ELSE ARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR???!!! They only needed to mark the panels 'A: TOP' etc & re-do the terrible 'instruction' leaflet, for goodness' sake.... The working space left to screw in the attaching screws provided is created for tiny aliens, methinks: there is nowhere NEAR enough space easily to screw in these crucial fixings, so some end up cross-threaded and/or not binding because one has to have more than one go at screwing them in. The screws themselves are too short and tiny to be customer friendly OR robust, and people will likely need a specialist tool, as well. WHY NOT JUST USE NUTS AND BOLTS INSTEAD AND AVOID ALL THE FAFF / PROVIDE A STURDIER AND EASIER-TO-ASSEMBLE PRODUCT? We would have asked for 100% refund, but had already put holes in the bottom and raised the whole planter for drainage - our bad. Surprisingly, though, in just one night of rain, all the drill holes (and some of the screw-tops) showed signs of rust - IN ONE NIGHT! I'll be painting the bottom plate (and possibly the whole planter) in Hammerite then. So, with all the time (on and off, over 1.5 days), the use of some of my own rust-proof screws/nuts/bolts to replace the inadequate ones provided, the need for a non-standard screwdriver (which some people may not already have - I did, luckily) and the Hammerite (NOT cheap) we'd have been better off spending more for a ready-assembled product that will last.
