This raised bed is well worth paying a little more for. It took about an hour and a half to assemble (32 screws) but the finished product is excellent quality. It is very sturdy, strong, fade proof, waterproof and has a modern colouring to blend into most gardens, it won't need painting or treating, and I found it a good height for me at 5 foot 5 inches. Once filled with soil it is also wind proof. You can plant about 15 lettuce comfortably, or more if you plant them closer still. The bonus for me which I was not aware of before ordering, is the water gauge. The gauge tells you when to water your plants, or if there is too much water in the bed, if it is flooded from rain there is a plug to release the excess water onto the ground below or into a watering can. Lovely modern planters that rusted perfectly within a week of putting them together. It was a manageable one person job, but went so much faster with a helper. I read it needed assembly, figured that was the trellis. However, you have to put together the planter part as well. A couple of screws hard to get in but the gaps, so called free draining slots. Well it does not site flush, compost falls out so putting just pots in it. Disappointed but still looks nice for the price. Secondly, DHL didn’t deliver on the scheduled date because couldn’t gain access!! when they delivered driver told me he’d gone to wrong address. Sadly if DHL is the only delivery option I wouldn’t order again. Edit: trellis won’t fit, one for screw is way off and the other is slightly off. Looks like I’m returning.. June. Made from extremely durable Zincalume® steel with Colourbond coating so it lasts up to four times longer than regular galvanised steel. Choose the shape that suits your needs: as a long, narrow bed, as a traditional square bed, or one of two rectangular shapes. At 38-39cm high (bed height may vary +/-50mm), it’s suitable for all types of vegetables, herbs and flowers and minimises bending and stooping when you’re planting or weeding. We recommend placing the bottom edge of the bed in a layer of 10-20mm gravel. This allows excellent drainage and protects the bottom edge of the bed. Placing on level ground is also advised. No liner is required. Flat packed for home assembly, the no-tools-assembly kit includes hardware plus plastic protective edging for the top edge.

Pots are made from Scandinavian Redwood and it is treated in an oil based preservative. All pots come assembled except raised beds where you need to fix legs. Your pots are supplied with one coat of the 'Taylor Brown' oil based preservative. To help protect and extend the life of your planter we strongly recommend for you to apply another coat every 6-12 months. Wood is a natural product and may expand and retract depending on the weather conditions therefore we can not be held responsible for cracking, splitting, warping and shrinkage as this is a natural occurrence, because of this it may be necessary to check the tightness of the bolts/screws. Resin is occasionally present in the timber and is no detriment, should this appear simply wipe with a cloth/white spirit.

Yes its pretty but not for the price paid, its really not worth it. Extremely flimsy, no water holes and il be surprised if I get one winter out of it. I decided to place it in a semi sheltered area instead of my original area planned and put artificial flowers in it instead, as I dont think it will last in the open elements.
