An impressive garden bench in a classic British design made of solid, black lacquered cast iron. A stylish lion head decorates the left and right sides of the bench. The decking is made out of twelve sturdy, mahogany-coloured hardwood boards, which are easy to maintain. Cast iron exists in various levels of quality, which is measured by the density of the processed cast iron. The lesser the density, the lighter and wobblier is the product and the easier it can break. This bench offers a level of very high density and is therefore very sturdy and robust. The cast iron can be re-painted from time to time with metal paint. The wood should be treated with a commercially available coating, depending on the use and site of installation. The bench will be delivered in a carton and needs to be assembled. All fittings and instructions are included in the delivery and assembly will only take a couple of minutes.

Well made bench. Solid, good value. Anonymous. Sat Jun 27 2026

Part of our garden furniture collection, this smart grey garden bench is meticulously crafted from cast iron and aluminum into a beautiful design to grace any outdoor space. The victorian-inspired design features a rambling rose pattern plus an ornate scalloped edge and scrolling on the curved back, so it looks attractive, inviting, and beautiful. Sit back and take in the beauty of nature wherever you place it in a favorite sunny or shady spot.

Ordering was easy. Delivery came quickly. Assembly was very difficult. I couldn’t understand the instructions about which screws to use for the different steps. I had to get the services of a local handy man and pay him £30 to assemble it for me. Could have bought one already assembled for what this cost in the end. Anonymous. Tue Jul 14 2026

Stylish garden bench made of weatherproof cast aluminium, grey antique. This decorative bench is made of weatherproof cast aluminium. In contrast to furniture made of cast iron, it is completely rustproof and therefore suitable for outdoor use without restriction. The bench is painted in an elegant grey (antique look) and is a gem for any garden - either as a comfortable seat or simply as a tasteful decorative element. Dimensions: Width: 105cm; Seat width: 95cm; Depth: 42cm; Seat height: 42cm; Total height: 84cm; Ergonomically shaped seat and backrest feature an elegant cross pattern. The bench is very solid and stable, but at the same time relatively light and easy to transport due to the use of cast aluminium.

Very pleased with this. I looked at several other (cheaper) ones which had a 'distressed' or verdigris finish or green that looked matt and were also deeper, back to front, than this one, though a bit cheaper. It didn't say in the description but the finish looked glossy in the pictures, which is what I wanted - and it was. It matches my greenhouse and the colour of my shed. Just what I wanted.. Rosemary. Enfield, Middlesex, GB. Sat Jun 06 2026

With its Eastern influence, the Rowlinson Jaipur Arbour will make a stunning edition to any garden that will quickly become a favourite spot to sit and enjoy.

Wood is green in a lot of places so clearly been stored in a damp place before delivery. Most of the screws were rusty too. You’re stuffed if you don’t have a drill because no holes are pre drilled so you have to drill the holes to fix it together. To be fair I suppose once finally finished then it’s nice too look at and comfortable to sit on. Will need to be painted at some point I think though. Was delivered within a few days.. Helena. With its shaped facia, overlap timber roof and attractive trellis detail, the Arum Arbour looks lovely in any garden or patio. A beautiful feature to place in a special spot to sit and take a moment, an arbour would make a very welcome gift! It is manufactured from high grade, slow grown, FSC approved, northern European pine which has been pressure treated to protect it from rot and insect attack for many years. This can still be painted should you wish to personalise your new arbour. (Imperial dimensions are approximate to the nearest foot; please refer to the exact metric dimensions in the data given). Supplied pressure treated for long life, painted model shown is for illustration only.

I bought this arbour to replace my old one, which had rotted due to the difficulty of repainting all the fiddly bits. This one looks really good and was very easy to paint I altered the layout when assembling so that the side panels had the smooth sides facing out so that the rain would run off easier instead of sitting on the little ledges, and it was easier to paint. The only downside with the quality was that there were a few places where the nails had come through or missed the struts when the arbour was made at the factory and one or two splinters, and bad nail gunning. I painted all the parts prior to assembling (and after) which made it easier to get into all the little splinters and rough bits, and also there could have been a few edging strips to hide and protect the edges where back and front panels met, and the diamond at the back could have done with a decorative strip to hide the nails. HOWEVER Overall for the money it is good value. I am making a couple of ledges for the side windows to hold a cup and it will also hide/protect the edges of the panels.. Vivienne. Warton Carnforth, GB. Wed May 01 2019

An open-pore glaze is used for surface treatment. If after-treatment is required at a later stage (depending on weather conditions), it can be done with any outdoor suitable wood protection glaze. The Primula Wooden Bench is constructed from 35mm thick pine wood and therefore very sturdy, withstands high loads and usable in the outdoors.
