The measurements given for the back of the fire (the part to set into the surround) did not take account for the extra centimetre or so from bottom of inset to base of fire. Stunning fire. Really happy with it. So cozy with real looking flames. Only criticism is you get very few of the firebed options. Will probably end up buying more "sticks" & "white pebbles" for better effect but still lovely to have the choice. For what you pay for the fire its abit tight that the remote doesn't come ready with batteries. LOVE the fire itself though. Nice bit of kit. Went in to the space specified neatly, although the surround fitting does not engage particularly well. It feels as though it could easily be dislodged. The heat provided is ok and the fan is not too noisy. The unit smells when first used but after a few hours it is odour free. Flame effect looks realistic. Please with my purchase.. Anonymous.
