Great as a spare bed to use in my sewing room. Unfolds and moves easily, I am elderly so a great advantage as I can prepare the bed without help. Simple to put together but does need help to remove from the box and lifting after the wheels are attached. The bed seems strong but the mattress is rather thin for two people so I put a single duvet on the mattress and then covered with a quilted small double mattress cover before laying the sheet, this all stayed together very well and my two adult guest had a good nights sleep and said they were comfortable. Double (4'6), White Matt

Happy with the finished product although construction is not for the faint-hearted. It says it requires three people to assemble it however I managed 95% of it on my own and with a bit of planning, a second person is useful when it comes to manouvering the two halves around the room. I managed to construct the double bed version entirely in a room which is only 13ft by 8ft. The hardest part is following the instructions, they are not particularly clear in places and the "magnified" bits could do with being 2x larger. One step is particularly baffling where it expects you to screw a large nut in at either side but doesn't explain that you do it from the opposite side (well I did anyway because it was impossible to do it any other way). Some of the wooden holes didn't line up perfectly with the metal frame so I had to enlarge them slightly with a drill. Also some of the screws are already screwed into the pieces rather than being in the bags so you can be hunting around for things which are hiding in plain sight. Once constructed and in place the bed feels solid, the mechanism works well, in fact the springs are so powerful that until you get the bed flat it feels like it would catapult shut if you get go of it! The straps which hold the mattress in place seem like a bit of an afterthought, there are no pre-drilled holes to fix them in place and you just basically screw them to the wood, it'd look nicer using steel screw cup washers.. This upholstered single bed, measuring 90x190cm (3FT), features a trundle bed underneath (90x190cm) with pulleys for easy access, making it perfect for both adults and teenagers. Upholstered in luxurious grey velvet, it doubles as a sofa bed with elegant scalloped cushions, offering versatile use and comfort. The bed is designed with triple protection on three sides, ensuring both safety and coziness.

It's a beautiful bed but a few things you could do to improve the build process - add pre drilled holes for the wheels on the base, it took forever and it was so tricky to add the wheels on. The velcro long pieces of wood for the slats were on the wrong way round but we made it work and there is a large gap between the scallops and the main bed which is fine but the main pic doesn't show that, but other images do. It's a little fiddly. Oh also the end pieces of velvet grey, there was a hand drawn area for where I needed to add the plastic pieces.. wasn't too accurate! Positiv (+): Kompaktes Paket Teile vollständig Logisch aufgebaute Aufbauanleitung Gutes technisches Konzept mit überraschend guter Festigkeit des Gesamtgestells, trotz der vielen Fügestellen. Minimalistisch im Holzverbrauch und damit auch von geringem Gesamtgewicht. Negativ (-): Erhebliche Verarbeitungsmängel: Einige Bretter (gerade auch an der Vorderfront) sind zu dünn für die Hobelmaschine gewesen, entsprechend sind sie teilseise noch sägerauh und der Lack (Anstrich) fehlerhaft. Etliche Bretter und Pfosten (auch im Sichtbereich) haben "Einschläge" (nach der Lackierung) und sehen daher unschön aus. Die Bohrgenauigkeit der Löcher für die Verbindungselemente ist mäßig. Zwar lässt sich alles montieren, aber es ergeben sich zahlreiche Winkelversätze und Ungenauigkeiten in den Fluchten. Bei den Verbindungselementen mussten die Gewinde von zwei der Gewindeankersteine nachgeschnitten werden, da sie für die Zugankerschrauben nicht gängig waren. Die Latten der Lattenroste sind nur grob gesägt und schartig. Damit die Matratzen nicht beschädigt werden ist es erforderlich, die Latten zu schleifen und die Kanten zu brechen. Die Aufbauanleitung beinhaltet drei substanzielle Fehler. Wer sie 1:1 befolgt, wird scheitern. Der Bettgestellaufbau insgesamt ist von der Verbindungstechnik her simpel und funktional, durch die vielen Fügesttellen aber doch recht zeitaufwändig - ich habe vier Stunden gebraucht, ohne die o.g. Nacharbeiten und ohne Teilzerlegung und Teil-Neumontage als die Fehler der Aufbauanleitung klar wurden. In Summe daher drei Sterne - weil es, einmal aufgebaut, stabil und praktisch ist und die hässlichen Holzfehlstellen unter einem Stoffüberhang verschwunden sind.. Anonymous. Sat Jul 29 2023

The pull-out trundle features castors for ease of use and can be used in either the flat or upright position. Sprung slatted bases give natural bounce, adjusting to where most pressure is exerted and providing greater comfort. The maximum mattress height to be used for this frame and trundle is 160 mm. The maximum load baring for the Buxton bed is 120kg. Please note: Birlea beds are only suitable for a UK standard size mattress.
