The feet just fold out to be the stand for the barbecue and when you are finished just fold them back. The barbecue is finished in black with a heat-resistant powder coating on the steel. Dimensions listed are of the barbecue in a closed state. The feet are not very sturdy and some may be uneven when unfolded.
