Fast shipping. Building does take time. I’m a contractor and it took me 7 hour to complete alone. The directions were straight forward. It would be a challenge for someone who isn’t mechanically inclined. Furthermore, having your own tools cuts down the installation time, but having the required tools is pretty deep if you’re just a homeowner. I recommend this set. Once completed it looks great. The packaging was fantastic and instructions were simple to understand. I assembled the dome by myself but found that, unless you have a deep socket you will need a ring spanner or adjustable. I purchased some tube end caps as they are not supplied, I didn’t want little fingers getting into the cavity. The cavity was also filling with rain water and not draining out. Dried and a spray of WD then capped should prolong the life of the nuts and bolts. See photos and it finishes the dome. You will need 25mm caps and I paid £4.18 for 20 but you only need 16. The only drawback with The Lodge is persuading your child to come out! The Lodge has two floors, the upper floor being reached by a small flight of steps, for endless fun. The loft area is situated above the verandah so the height of the main space is not compromised. The covered verandah provides cover even on a wet day for year round use as well being an exciting feature. It is fully CE certified and complies with BS EN71 for the safety of your children. The door is fitted with a full length piano hinge to prevent finger traps and the windows are glazed with acrylic. It is manufactured in T&G (shiplap) timber from high grade, slow grown, FSC approved, northern European pine. The floor of the playhouse is tongue and groove timber as is the roof which is covered with roofing felt for protection from the weather. The playhouse is supplied with a dip treated base coat preservative ready for you to top coat immediately after installation. The painted models shown are customer images to provide some ideas. This playhouse requires self-assembly using the instructions supplied; fixings and roof felt are provided. Before you assemble your building, you will need a base which is flat and level to a sufficient size. Grass, soil or gravel are not sufficient as they will move with the weight of a building.
