Sprung slatted bases give natural bounce, adjusting to where most pressure is exerted and providing greater comfort. The maximum mattress height to be used for this frame and trundle is 160 mm. These mattresses (I got 2) are perfect for my new day bed. The one on the trundle is a little bit too big now that it’s been out of the packaging for a couple of days but still works, I just have to squeeze it down a bit to pull it out but I’d rather my guests have a comfier sleep than go for a thinner mattress.. Really sturdy, with lots of storage room. You can easily fit a winter duvet into the draw, it's really roomy. Exactly what I was looking for my growing son. Quite easy to put together, all the screws and other things were labelled very well and the instruction was well read. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars it's the little chip we have in the wood just between the draws, it's quite visible unfortunately, however doesn't affect the functionality in any way.. Kinga.
