I bought this arbour to replace my old one, which had rotted due to the difficulty of repainting all the fiddly bits. This one looks really good and was very easy to paint I altered the layout when assembling so that the side panels had the smooth sides facing out so that the rain would run off easier instead of sitting on the little ledges, and it was easier to paint. The only downside with the quality was that there were a few places where the nails had come through or missed the struts when the arbour was made at the factory and one or two splinters, and bad nail gunning. I painted all the parts prior to assembling (and after) which made it easier to get into all the little splinters and rough bits, and also there could have been a few edging strips to hide and protect the edges where back and front panels met, and the diamond at the back could have done with a decorative strip to hide the nails. HOWEVER Overall for the money it is good value. I am making a couple of ledges for the side windows to hold a cup and it will also hide/protect the edges of the panels.. Vivienne. Wood is green in a lot of places so clearly been stored in a damp place before delivery. Most of the screws were rusty too. You’re stuffed if you don’t have a drill because no holes are pre drilled so you have to drill the holes to fix it together. I ordered this and recieved a Charles bently swing. It's not the sturdiest swing and despite all bolts being tight moves from side to side. The canapy fittings will not last 5 mins cheap plastic. The canapy bars don't stay together. The seat had two saggy bits where people have sat and we've only used for a couple of days. I would not sit 3 people on it. The seat cushion is thin the bar digs into your thighs. My last swing was in my garden nearly 11 yrs and only got rid because two seats went. Think I will be lucky if this lasts 2.. Maureen.
