Cono is a modern contemporary steel chimenea. Largemouth so adding logs is easy and offers a huge view of the fire. Ideal for any patio. Made of 100% steel with stainless steel mouth rim. Supplied with rain lid. You must observe the instructions and maintenance recommendations. Metal chimeneas will rust. How much they rust is dependent on whether they are left outside in all weathers, how much they are used, and how they have been looked after. All can be re-painted. Rust does not affect use. Metal chimeneas surfaces can become very hot in use and will burn the skin if touched. Burning temperatures inside steel and cast iron chimeneas are even higher than inside traditional cast iron chimeneas. Recommend the use of a chimenea guard when small children are present.

Only used a couple of times so far but very pleased with it. I did invest in a decent cover for it so rusting wouldn’t be an issue. I purchased this as we had an inset woodburner installed last year and, because (our existing outbuilding was already full of other clutter - yeah, I know, how does that happen?) we needed additional space to store fuel to see us through the colder months. This was delivered considerately by a decent chap, he even made sure it was placed somewhere easy for me to unpack yet away from prying eyes. I decided to give it a coat of garden paint in advance, then assembled it a day later. Took me an afternoon to do this but very simple, instructions are a doddle, and everything you need is there. Helps if you have someone to lend a hand to get the panels secured upright but can be done on your Todd if you are savvy enough. Just make sure you construct on a firm flat surface and face it so the back is to the prevailing wind. We managed to fit 1.8 cubic metres of kiln dried split logs inside with room to spare and it showed no signs of stress on the structure. I fitted waterproof groundsheet to cover the front against any driving rain (roll up/drop down wrapped around a garden stake) and moisture getting into the wood.
