The instructions for the assembly and installation of this product are beyond a simple DIY person. Only experienced DIY people should takle this awning because:- 1. The instructions are in gibberish translated from chinese by a chinese person and do not make clear sence. 2. Some instructions are missing, particularly where to fasten the mounting brackets on the wall. 3. Where and how to mount the 'blockers'. 4. The fixing bolts for the brackets are not suitable for using with hollow bricks. New fixings had to be bought. 5. It is impossible to mount the unit on the wall once it has been completely assembled due to the weight and being able to mark and secure the bolts on the brackets. 6. The mounting brackets should be fixed with only the mounting bar, before the canvass and roller have been added to it. 7. The bolts to hold the unit to the brackets cannot be fitted as instructed because the roller and canvass obscure the holes for the bolts. They have to be inserted from below, not above as instructed. 8. Once built using initiative and mods to the instructions and new fixing bolts it has performed very well.. Tom. Harrogate, GB. We ordered the 5x3 mtr lean to gazebo, so not a small structure! The delivery was excellent, they kept us informed of delivery time, so we were prepared, they had waterproof cover for everything, so it was not left out in the elements. Thoughtfulness throughout. Everything was good quality, clear instructions. My husband is 76, and not a builder, rather he was an engineer, so this was a big job to tackle on his own. The only time he asked for help was to lift the front, so he could attach the beams to the wall mounting, it took four men to lift and hold the front upright, whilst he fixed the beams. Apart from that he did everything himself, making sure at all times everything was square and level. He did a fantastic job! I am beyond pleased with the result. It took him 9 days to build, and put the roofing tiles on, and then we had to wait as he ordered the lead etc which was the very last task. A point to note , everything you need to build the gazebo is there, apart from the lead, filler, wall bolts and patio fixing bolts. The hard wear that is with the gazebo kit, is counted so exactly the right amount is there, no extras, so be careful, dont loose, or misplace anything! We have ended up with an amazing gazebo, so much usable space now to eat outside, sit and relax, we absolutely love it, and have had so many compliments from friends and neighbours! Works great for me, i wish the roof didn't have eyelet drainage holes for my use. but ill be covering them off (if you have it angled, the water should run off anyway; otherwise, it fills with pools of water on the roof). Gazebo came nicely packaged. And I absolutely love the gazebo now that it is up. There were unfortunately, several panels that had dents in them and one of the structure pieces was a little banged up. My parking space is surrounded by fence on three sides and sits under an apple tree. After experiencing one round of severe hail damage and suffering through another fall of my car being pelted by apples, I began the quest for a carport and landed on this Sunjoy model. I couldn't be happier. At 20 feet long, it covers my entire Q7, and the width was perfect for my parking space. I can definitely open the car doors on both sides, and parking between the posts is no problem. Speaking of posts, our handyman built concrete bases for the posts because of the slope of the space. One other thing to know: in the blueprint on page 4, the distance from post to post is actually 227 inches (not 229.13 as stated in the book.)
