This hanging bird feeder comes complete with an integral squirrel baffle to try to stop them from getting at the bird food. The feeding tray is positioned underneath the baffle, which in turn is adjustable in its position on the hanging hook. This enables the baffling part to be raised or lowered to get the perfect position to let the birds in but keep the squirrels out. This high quality bird feeding station comes complete with 4 feeders, all made from hard wearing metal with a bronze finish. The feeding station also has a water dish and mealworm tray, as well as a hanger for fat snax or another feeder. Coming with a pole in 4 pieces, when assembled it measures 2.4m high and is 50cm wide. The pole just slots together and the last piece of the pole has a pointed end so it can be pushed into the soil to keep the station upright. All the feeder supports are held on the pole with butterfly bolts, easily tightened and loosened, while the top pole has a rubber finial that not only looks good, but keeps water out of the pole as well. Set contains one each of seed, nut and fatball feeder, a bird bath, a mealworm feeder tray and a fatball feeder hook.

We recommend not to give too much food in the house and to remove food residues regularly.

With its sleek curves, our Wentworth hanging bird seed feeder is modern in looks but traditional in function. Oval-shaped, the body of the feeder stands 26cm tall (40cm including hanging loop) and features two round feeding ports at either end. With two smaller feeding troughs under the windows, this garden feeder is perfect for smaller birds to perch and have their fill. Keep squirrels away from bird food with this ingenious bird feeder. Coming complete with a large hanging hook (16cm x 15cm), this feeder has an array of features to try to keep the wily squirrel away from precious bird food. Firstly, it has a metal lid to stop squirrels from gnawing through to the food from above. The lid has a closing mechanism that is undone from underneath. This lid then overhangs the seed container by 3.5cm all around making it hard for the squirrel to navigate. Underneath this, there is another metal baffle of the same dimensions that creates another obstacle in the intruder's path. Finally, the perches in front of the metal feeding ports are spring-loaded, so if a squirrel does get this far, they will have their footing removed as soon as they place weight on the perch. The feeder also comes with 3 inserts that can be placed in the feeder ports to make them suitable for niger seeds.

Das Vogelhaus macht einen stabilen Eindruck und ist gut verarbeitet. Der dazu bestellte 3-Fuß-Ständer ist passgenau gearbeitet, die Anleitung leicht verständlich, alles perfekt, musste nichts nachgearbeitet werden. Der Durchmesser des Daches beträgt 53cm (!), das Dachholz hat eine Stärke von 13mm, die Dach-Abdeckleisten sind aus einem Stück gefertigt, die Gehrungen sind exakt - ein wirklich ordentliches Vogelhaus. Der Futterturm ist aus massivem Holz. Ob die (ausreichend verwendeten) Klammern halten, wird sich zeigen -Nägel und Schrauben wären natürlich wünschenswert - aber das massive Holz wird sich mal nachbearbeiten lassen. Lieferung (nach Österreich) erfolgte innerhalb weniger Tage. Die beiliegende "kleine Vogelhauskunde" ist interessant und lehrreich. This high quality garden bird feeding station comes complete with 4 bird feeders, all made from hard wearing metal with a bronze finish. The feeding station also has a water dish and mealworm tray, as well as a hanger for suet fat snax or another feeder. Also included is a round metal patio stand that weighs a substantial 3.5kg. Coming with a pole in 4 pieces, when assembled it measures 2.4m high and is 50cm wide. The pole just slots together and the last piece of the pole has a pointed end so it can be pushed into the soil to keep the deluxe feeding station upright.
