Hanging Bird Feeders

This hanging bird feeder comes complete with an integral squirrel baffle to try to stop them from getting at the bird food. The feeding tray is positioned underneath the baffle, which in turn is adjustable in its position on the hanging hook. This enables the baffling part to be raised or lowered to get the perfect position to let the birds in but keep the squirrels out. The baffle also provides protection from other predators such as swooping birds of prey and cats, and as it is made of Perspex, it is possible to see the birds feeding through it.

Attaching to the bottom of a large seed feeder by means of 4 hanging chains, this plastic tray will catch all the seeds and seed casings that are discarded or dropped as the birds feed. This solar bird feeder charges during the day and the glass flower will automatically light up for 6-8 hours at night when fully charged. Note: Make sure to turn the switch to the "ON" position before charging and the solar panel can get the good sunlight directly without any shelter or other lights.

The central hanging wire makes this feeder easy to hang from branches or feeder stations. Whilst it is stable for songbirds to perch and feed on, the design makes it less stable for large birds such as pigeons, and dare we say it - squirrels (although we would suggest a squirrel baffle to make sure of this). These feeders each have a capacity of 600 grams and can take either seed or nuts. The lids have a simple twist and lock opening mechanism that makes it possible to refill while hanging. The feeder base has drainage holes in the base to keep the tray from filling with water and has 6 feeding ports to enable all-round dining; this makes viewing easier and increases the potential for attracting a variety of birds to the feeder.

Hanging bird tables are perfect if you only have a small garden or they can also be used on a balcony or patio. Even if you have a larger garden you will often find that if you hang a bird table from tree birds will prefer to use it as it is in a more natural environment for them to feed in.
