As cast iron can reach high heat on a low to medium setting, you can seal your food quickly and lock in the moisture, nutrients, and flavors, producing succulent tasty meals. It is a very healthy way of cooking too as the cooking fat drains away and collects below the ribs. The helper handle sets this Square Grillit® apart from others, for extra ease of use and stability when lifting a full pan. The grill is coated with Le Creuset’s specialist finish. Durable and easy to clean, enamel interior has been specially designed to protect the pan (no seasoning is required) and is ideal for searing and grilling foods such as meat, fish, and vegetables. Over time, it develops a natural patina that is ideal for searing and frying. The Square Grillit® is suitable for use on all hob types, including induction, in the oven, under the grill, and on the barbecue, and is protected by a Lifetime Guarantee for total peace of mind. Only low to medium heat is required when cooking and will achieve the high surface heat required for searing.

This is perhaps my most favorite thing to use in the kitchen at the moment! I got this (and 2 other Le Creuset items - thanks to the extra discount at Wayfair!) 4 days ago, and since then have made the perfect steak (2 inch filet mignon), grilled fish and grilled vegetables while staying indoors, without being afraid to go outside the house to grill and without the fuss of charcoal grilling!!. This 23.5cm cast iron griddle pan is a formidable kitchen essential that is renowned for its long-lasting and hardwearing capabilities and delivers real value for money to your cooking arsenal, if looked after correctly the pan will last you a lifetime! The cast iron construction of the griddle pan delivers its ultra-durable nature, and the pan itself has the capabilities to not only withstand direct heat, but also redirect that heat around the cooking surface, enabling you to get the perfect sear from the raised ridges on your fish, meats, and vegetables. The cast iron griddle pan also features a non-stick enamel coating that allows for the easy release of food to the plate, which makes it perfect for braising, simmering, broiling, roasting, and baking a wide variety of foods. The griddle pan has been designed to be an ultra-versatile cooking appliance, and this is evident in the fact that it is ovenproof up to 260°C, allowing for a different approach to the way you cook your meals in the pan. This cast iron griddle pan is like all Blackmoor frying pans in the fact that it is suitable to be used on all hob types, such as gas, electric, and induction hobs, as well as on hot plates. The kitchen pan also comes complete with a neatly placed pouring lip that will allow you to easily dispose of any excess fats or liquids that appear during the cooking process, as well as an easy grip handle that makes the maneuvering of the pan from the hob to the oven extremely simple. Please note that when used in the oven the handle of the griddle pan will become hot, therefore you need to ensure that you remove the pan from the oven using appropriate oven gloves to protect yourself in the process. The stove-top griddle pan is easy to clean and needs to be washed by hand in hot soapy water, both before your first use, and then after every subsequent use thereafter. Please allow the pan to cool before cleaning, as adding cold water or other cool liquids to a hot pan can cause it to crack. This griddle pan comes in a classic black colour, and when coupled with the demure cream-colored inner enamel surface, it is a pan that will be suitable to be used in any style of kitchen, whether it be modern or traditional, without looking out of place.
