The Signature Blue and White Octopus range is produced by a small family run business located in the Almeria region of southern Spain. Over the generations, they have developed a very specific and stylish way of making their tabletop ceramics. The Signature piece is first dipped in a white base clay paint. The artist will draw the design by carving into the white coating and into the clay, leaving an indented imprint of the design. Individually signed by the artist, each piece is hand-painted with rich and contrasting colours, glazed and fired in the kiln.

This 4 Piece Pitcher Set is a perfect complement to a country style kitchen. Great for displaying together and also very serviceable as individual decorative items. The jugs have been deliberately distressed before the firing process with a randomised blue floral pattern and the grey crackle glaze background adds to their aged look. This item is slightly distressed ceramic. This means during the manufacturing process slight imperfections have been deliberately created. These give the item an older more antique look than it would have if it had been made to be perfect. There may be parts of a design missing, slight bumps or other surface imperfections or irregularities in the glaze. These are meant to give the careworn and well used look of a much older item to a recently manufactured product. This distressed finish is not to be regarded as a fault.
