On the whole a nice looking kettle to have on the counter top. Clean lines. I did think the silver parts would be metal but they are plastic which I am not keen on but am getting used to. Performs very well. The smell that accompanies it when you first open the lid does disappear after the recommended two boils. Only downside is that the handle blocks the water indicator so that makes it hard to fill to the measurement of water that you need. It’s a bit irritating but I am happy to overlook it.. G. The kettle is spot on already saving money on reboiling keeps the water nice and hot. However the courier used was EVRI delivery was poor in total it took 10 days from order to delivery so I almost cancelled my order. I purchased this kettle to replace my existing one which had become faulty, as the clip holding the lid no longer worked, and the kettle continually produced steam and didn't automatically switch off.
