STAUB cast iron square grill pan. The ridges on the base of the rectangular Staub griddle pan create an authentic grill effect and keep food succulent and tasting delicious as food only makes partial contact with the base. Instead of being reabsorbed by the food, excess fat and fluid run down into these ridges. The enameled cast iron heats up quickly and distributes heat steadily and evenly across the base so that food is cooked gently after being browned, retaining its nutritional value and flavor. The two narrow handles on either side make the pot easy to move and take up little space on the hob, and since the pan can also be used in a hot oven, you have space for even more food. The pan is also suitable for all heat sources and gives excellent results when used with induction hobs as well. Cast iron has long been considered one of the most reliable materials for roasting and cooking. Flavour intensifies as cooking progresses and dishes stay warm for a long time thanks to its excellent heat-retaining properties. With its clean design, the pan also looks at home in traditional and modern kitchens. The Staub griddle pan will inspire you to experiment with new recipes over and over again. Made by STAUB in France.

This 23.5cm cast iron griddle pan is a formidable kitchen essential that is renowned for its long-lasting and hardwearing capabilities and delivers real value for money to your cooking arsenal, if looked after correctly the pan will last you a lifetime! The cast iron construction of the griddle pan delivers its ultra-durable nature, and the pan itself has the capabilities to not only withstand direct heat, but also redirect that heat around the cooking surface, enabling you to get the perfect sear from the raised ridges on your fish, meats, and vegetables. The cast iron griddle pan also features a non-stick enamel coating that allows for the easy release of food to the plate, which makes it perfect for braising, simmering, broiling, roasting, and baking a wide variety of foods. The griddle pan has been designed to be an ultra-versatile cooking appliance, and this is evident in the fact that it is ovenproof up to 260°C, allowing for a different approach to the way you cook your meals in the pan. This cast iron griddle pan is like all Blackmoor frying pans in the fact that it is suitable to be used on all hob types, such as gas, electric, and induction hobs, as well as on hot plates. The kitchen pan also comes complete with a neatly placed pouring lip that will allow you to easily dispose of any excess fats or liquids that appear during the cooking process, as well as an easy grip handle that makes the maneuvering of the pan from the hob to the oven extremely simple. Please note that when used in the oven the handle of the griddle pan will become hot, therefore you need to ensure that you remove the pan from the oven using appropriate oven gloves to protect yourself in the process. The stove-top griddle pan is easy to clean and needs to be washed by hand in hot soapy water, both before your first use, and then after every subsequent use thereafter. Please allow the pan to cool before cleaning, as adding cold water or other cool liquids to a hot pan can cause it to crack. This griddle pan comes in a classic black colour, and when coupled with the demure cream-colored inner enamel surface, it is a pan that will be suitable to be used in any style of kitchen, whether it be modern or traditional, without looking out of place.

The iron itself heats very evenly and retains heat so I get great browning and nice grill marks. The deep channels between the ridges keep my food from sitting in the fat and produce a well cooked item. The silicon handle stays cool and is comfortable to hold. Great pan! Have been looking for a solid grill pan and this is perfect. Heats evenly, cooks nicely and cleans easily!. Alex. Lyndhurst, NJ. Thu Dec 10 2020

This Griddle is superb. I make lots of griddle scones, & have previously struggled to find a griddle which heats evenly on my ceramic hob. Within an hour of it's arrival I'd made some Welsh Cakes, & they cooked perfectly. You need to do a few test bakes first, to ensure the temperature is correct - I found it kept it's heat even at a very low temperature, which is good. I only lightly greased it with sunflower oil for the first batch of baking, after that it didn't need greasing. The handles stay cool whilst using the hob, & its very easy to clean. Plus, it looks good. And worth every £.. Karen. Nottingham, GB. Wed Feb 28 2018
