o make this item of beauty they have to form the shape of the item by pouring liquid clay into a mould, letting this dry, then cleaned and prepared to be fired at 800 degrees. When the pot has cooled after firing it is taken out of the kiln and the design is marked on the clay pot on the design marks the artist tube lines a fine slip of clay to give it the tube lined effect, again it is then fired at 800 degrees, it then finally goes to the painters who paint the vibrant colours the paint is left to dry glaze is applied and again fired, after being removed from the kiln it is ready to be packed

When I looked at the description of the vase there was no information about the height and width of the product which I thought was odd but I thought it was nice so ordered it anyway. On arrival it was 6 inches high and much smaller than I imagined and not as described. As you can see from the photo it’s so tiny on my fireplace and you can hardly notice it. Normally very happy with decorative items but sadly disappointed with this item. Paula. Ireland. Thu Apr 17 2025
