This product is a signature basket weave in halftime. Instead of four yarns over four, the mini basketweave is two yarns over two, resulting in a quieter, less textural surface.

Acting more like a charger than a placemat, this placemat will sit surrounded and enhanced by the open lace cutwork it exhibits.

Our #1 favorite of all Chilewich placemats! We have a set in gunmetal. This design is beautiful, unique & elegant on our black granite table & our dark walnut dining table.. Robin B.. Sat Dec 21 2024

This placemat is inspired by scattered flower petals. The non-woven textile is created through a complex process utilizing special moulds and requiring close collaboration between Chilewich and specialists at the producing factory in Taiwan. Use this delicate modern lace cut-out to surround a plate like a charger, or alone for a decorative and understated placemat that is surprisingly resilient.

Really lovely placemats! The champagne color goes well with silver or gold. And so thin, storage is a snap!. Greg M.. Sat Dec 16 2023

This product was inspired by hand-embroidered fabrics. Brightly coloured yarns are alternately brought to the surface and then floated on the back using a weaving technique called tissue pick. The small windows of colour contrast against their neutral backgrounds for a charming weightless effect that appears to be stitched by hand. Each individual yarn blends two colours from the same family resulting in an unexpectedly natural texture. This intricate and unique process allows the design team to closely manage the ultimate textile from start to finish.

Inspired by Japanese Kumiko wood-crafting used for centuries to create intricate latticework screens, this placemat is a gleaming exploration of tessellations: patterns of shapes that fit perfectly together. The traditional Asanoha motif (often used on kimono) was the starting point.

This product is bold and architectural. A molded vinyl placemat with a mesh-like texture, the top layer of shapes creates a geometric effect that allows pops of colour to peek through to the surface.

Combining the organic exuberance of a chrysanthemum, the graphic refinement of a Shape line sketch, and a modern palette of metallic hues, this placemat is a fresh interpretation of florals. This flexible openwork accessory acts as a decorative base for plates—or anything else that is placed on top. This placemat is delicate in appearance yet surprisingly resilient: a contemporary take on the ancient craft of lacemaking.

Influenced by the pioneering textiles of artist and designer Anni Albers, This product is a celebration of contrasts: past and future, simplicity and complexity, reality and illusion. This graphic weave creates the impression of movement by punctuating orderly diagonals with playful diversions in direction and scale. The high-contrast palette of two colours makes it even more mesmerizing—and versatile.

This placemat features a repeat pattern of the iconic butterfly motif. This placemat has different designs on each side, choose from the deep teal colour or the crisp white, both perfectly balanced to make a statement piece in the kitchen. Manufactured to suit everyday living.

Gorgeous thick placemat in beautiful vibrant colours.. Spikeysusie. Wed Dec 15 2021

This silver coloured placemat lends a cool metallic accent to the dining table. The silver thread is woven throughout its ridged surface, enhancing its luxurious look. This accentuates the circular pattern that reduces into the centre. Heat and stain-resistant, it coordinates well with metallic accented glassware.

Looks good. Ann. Grangemouth, GB. Mon Jan 22 2024

This small intricate woven texture just makes you want to look closer. The deliberate sequence of interwoven strands of colors seems to appear and disappear.
