The remote has 3 speeds for the fan, As per its lighting options, each time you press the light button on the remote control the lighting changes from calid, to warm and to neutral. No dimming options from remote. That would be achieved only if you have a dimming system installed on the wall.

It can therefore be hung indoors and outdoors under a ceiling and with at least one protective wall. Despite IP55, the ceiling fan should be sufficiently protected from heavy rain from above and not be exposed to direct strong winds.
