We bought one of these for the bedroom and have purchased a second one for the other side of the bed. Stylish, well made and easy to put together. I like the brushed brass. Exactly what I was looking for, to brighten a dark corner in the kitchen without being too much. I went for the smoke coloured glass to temper the brightness and it works perfectly - an ambient, warm light that even makes the room feel a little warmer! (All psychological I guess). I love the fact that the base is rectangular - rather than round - so it fits snuggly into the corner. The power cable also comes out of the base so there's no cabling visible around the pole. Overall I like this lamp shade. The base is heavy which means there’s no leaning, easy to assemble and has a classic look which compliments the age of our home. I’m going to change the shade for a more colourful one though. It’s currently on a stool to add more height so this is why I’ve only given 4 stars as would’ve liked it higher but this was the tallest in this style I could find.. Lucy.
