The light cable is the same thickness as the other 2 suspension cables all 3 are realy thin. The mechanism for raising / lowering the height is simple and effective and easy to level our rose is on an angle in a vaulted cealing. There are a number of sizes we have a very large extension but went with the smallest as we cut out some cardboard mock ups beforehand to judge the impact and size something I would recommend. Excellent light that fitted seamlessly into our tv room. We selected the grey coloured shade in the largest size and weren’t disappointed when it arrived. It is clearly well made, all the parts are of excellent quality and substantial to the touch. Our tv room is quite small and we needed the light to hang in the middle of the room thus we cut the cable leading up to the ceiling pendant to a short length. The effect on the room was impressive. It was easy to fit and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The diffuser slides in snugly to the shade and creates a lovely effect and the silver pendant and cover for the cable brought a feeling of real quality. The shade colour is a fairly deep grey and looks so stylish with its narrow styled drum and silver components blending in well.Delighted with our new super stylish light. Would highly recommend it.. The lamp itself is a true eye-catcher, very luxurious, truly worth its price. Relatively easy to install, but laborious to hook up 60 individual crystals to the round structure, each the size of your hand. But it is definitely worth the extra effort, as it looks great. The only problem, and this is why I gave 4 stars and not 5: the packaging was terrible. The lamp itself was properly packed, but underneath, the 60 individual crystals were thrown into a hand-made envelope of two pieces of cardboard, offering no protection to the crystal pieces during transport. Many of them slipped out, moved around, got slightly scratched or dented. I had to polish and clean these, to hide the small imperfections, but these can certainly be avoided, with a bit of common sense for the packaging design. Otherwise, a great buy!. Angel. Germany. Lovely shades, go perfectly with our standing lamp. The chandelier part of one of our two seems a little wonky which is unfortunately, but I'm hoping it's not too obvious. The link chain is nice and rustic but extremely long, so unless you want to hang it deep over a table it becomes somewhat redundant. We had to remove ours (not easy, needs a couple strong hands and 2 pliers) which is a shame/waste but it was the only way to lift it up under the ceiling. Although this pendant light fitting is small in size and it packs a big punch! It is more suited to smaller rooms or perhaps 3 or 4 of them hanging above a dining table. The fitting takes a standard small screw-fit bulb and comes with a meter of flex allowing this light to be fitted to ceilings of all heights.
