The playful shape of Axella 1 - Light Jar Pendant is inspired by the little helper of Gyro Gearloose (part of the Walt Disney Duck universe) whose comic books filled the designer childhood. The simplicity of shape and use of a classic material like glass and unusual in its combination such as cork create a gorgeous contrast, enhanced by the color palette chosen for the glass adding a contemporary feel. The designer wanted to emphasize the delicate match of glass and cork, drawing attention to it as an elegant and functional detail allowing the shade to be removed easily for bulb changing. What a simple design this collection has. This pendant ischaracterized by minimalist details and has a pure, modern light and controlled light diffusion. Current materials and millimetric processes interact with scenarios that are never dull, creating a wide range of products which includes various sizes, finishes and versions. Officially a simple design that by its nature proves difficult to describe and to understand. A lighting design that is not for everyone.
