I purchased this light because it is hard to find a big island flush mount light. I have 7 foot ceilings and anything other than flush mount hangs too low for tall people. I really like the farmhouse look and that it takes regular light bulbs. It was packaged nicely and easy to put together. I took off one star because there was a defect with the paint. For something that costs so much I feel like they should quality check it before it leaves. It’s toward the ceiling so I’m just going to put some black paint over it. I wanted a modern clean looking living room light. I really liked all the options, which was the whole reason I chose this light. Installation was pretty easy after watching a video. The construction of the light is sturdy and well made. The design of the different individual components is very thoughtful. How the upper lights are internal facing with a diffusing cover. Then the lower lights that I especially like, how they utilize acrylic for external light diffusing. It feels gentler on the eyes. The item arrived packaged well and with no damage. The gold and black color is very appealing. I like that you can rotate the lights in any direction you choose. I do think that the materials feel a bit on the cheaperlighter side, especially when trying to rotate the lights. Overall, it is a great looking light and fits our decor very well.
