This rug is a very satisfying purchase and has received many compliments. It is especially plush, which you can appreciate when walking around in your socks or barefoot. It has kept the previously bare wood floor comfortably warm during the current cold wave. Yet the material (100 percent Polyester) is lightweight and easy to move if necessary. It is recommended by the manufacturer that you add a rug pad to extend the life of the rug.
The background color is more a cream white than a bright white. The rug is easy to clean with a carpet sweeper. Note that the care instructions direct that you do not use a “beater bar.” We might be taking a chance by adding a white rug to a home where pet accidents occur, but the accidents we have had so far cleaned up thoroughly in just a few minutes, using mild cleaning products.
The simple design, consisting of long brown lines forming triangular spaces, would be compatible with furnishings of many styles and the rug comes in a wide variety of sizes. (Ours is 6.7 feet by 9 feet.) As with most lightweight, synthetic rugs, it took several days for the rug to ease out of its rolled-up shape and become perfectly flat. Temporarily flattening down the four corners with a heavy object, such as a large book, may help this process along.
