A fine-looking chest of drawers and every bit is wood. Capacity of drawers is excellent, deep and wide. Two issues, however. The dowel rods are flimsy. Three of them broke during assembly. Why not add a pound or two to the price and supply metal dowel rods? And the instructions are less than clear - they don't explain where the painted bits or the plain wooden bits should go! when the drawers arrived we opened the package to find one of the back legs had broken off we tried to contact the supplier but had no luck the leg had been roughly glued then screwed on in the end i had to repair it myself i have also found that the item is not all oak but is made up of knotty pine i think the advert is misleading and should be altered but all said and done the drawers do look good in the bedroom and it is difficult to find drawers that are that tall. Shopped around for a kid friendly dresser, that was compact. Looked at many different dressers at a similar price point and this design was most aesthetic for my needs. Delivery was very fast (2 days) the dresser was packaged very well in box. Everyone else’s reviews were spot on. The dresser took several hours to build and the particle board material is sensitive. I used a drill and was careful not to apply too much pressure to avoid surface damage to the dresser pieces. Also used the drill in the slow mode and controlled speed. I laid all of the material out and organized the pieces in numerical order for easy accessibility. Overall, the dresser met my expectations. Drawers are smaller ( but this was expected).
