I would probably have gone for a honey coloured pine if one had been available but the one thing I have worked out is that pine is not popular anymore and I wanted something to go with furniture I bought back in 2002. If I could have found something preassemled I would have but this was the best I could do under the circumstances. It is solid wood and a good price for what it is. It is also fairly easy to assemble. I am quite pleased with it now it’s up, but I was cursing in the middle of building it because some of the screws are at bit of an odd angle. Mirrors fell out and luckily my fella was able to mend them properly being a joiner but that could have been a disaster if myself or any of my children had opened the doors for the glass to fall on top of them! The mirrors literally weren’t even fixed in properly. Also, the rail is made of wood and bends in the middle so I’ve pretty much paid just over £300 to fix a wardrobe up myself- will have to replace the rail with a metal one. Not very impressed.
