The Corona Narrow 6 Drawer Chest, the chest of drawers is expertly crafted from solid pine and hand waxed to preserve as well as enhance the grain. It offers outstanding value for money with 6 drawers that would be a welcome addition to any room. It is finished off with black metal fittings which give the item its distinctive Mexican styling and offers that warm rustic country charm. The item has hardboard backs and drawer bases, its delivered flat packed for easy home assembly with step-by-step instructions.
The overall look of the unit is good, though a little awkward on the sequence for construction with the drawer rails difficult to fit after putting the frame together. The worst part is actually the tolerances in construction, with 0.5 mm mis alignment in the frame. However, most of the drawers are badly made with only one fitting together without a problem. The others end up with excess wood sticking out and stopping the drawers from sliding in to the unit. Measurement shows up to 2mm difference in the recesses also some of the pre drilled holes for the drawer sides are not in line and the screws fail to go in the required direction, just catching the edge of the wood causing it to split. To complete building this will require remedial extra work to make the required adjustments. If you are not up to the required wood work please do not buy, you will just be frustrated by the result.
